If Big Pharma isn’t picking your pocket, the big drugstore chains are

Rite Aid Corp. — the third-biggest drugstore chain, which recently agreed to buy the Eckerd and Brooks chains as well — has seen its profits rise of late after its introduction of generic versions of drugs such as Zoloft. Why? Because it's a multibillion-dollar money-making scam, and they want in on the action! Personally, I think it's pretty underhanded. It's selling in to people's non-understanding or non-confront of situations they have in life that are making them depressed. It's like preying on the unhappiness of someone who just had a loved one die -- their problem is not a sudden chemical imbalance that miraculously happened in their brain. Their problem is that a loved one just died!
